It seems like lately all of the major powerlifting, bodybuilding and strength training magazines are pushing whey protein as the supreme protein source. If you read these enough, you’d probably try to live off of chicken breast and whey protein.

The hype is all sorts of nonsense. Claims are made about how the protein is filtered, what type of amino acides are in it, how whey protein has the most glutamine, etc. The fact of the matter is that this is all just hype. The majority of protein “companies” are really just marketing firms, unlike True Protein. If you take off the label of two different types of whey proteins, you would have the exact same protein from (likely) the exact same factory. In addition, whey protein’s hype as the most superior protein of all time just isn’t true. Do yourself a favor and use a True protein discount code to get access to gemma, hemp, egg, soy, and lots of other types of protein.

Not too long ago, all that you ever heard or read about was “weight gainers”. These drinks tasted like chalk and were absolute garbage. BUT, people loved them because they had carbohydrates (which are great for replenishing your glycogen stores after your workout) and protein. But, Protein powders took a back seat to them.

Then all of a sudden, a number of “experts” came out with “low calorie” weight gainers (which is ironic in and of itself) because everybody was trying to keep their calories low (i.e. Staying in caloric restriction) in order to lose weight. Protein powders continued come in behind weight gainer shakes.

Next a few internet “gurus”started to delve into the benefits of carbohydrate cycling and out went “low calorie”. Now, diets were centered on cycling your carbohydrates to get your body to lose body fat. Apparently calories don’t matter so much!

Finally, with carbohydrate cycling, whey protein came back into style. This is great, right?

Wrong. Here is what your everyday supplement companies try to do: they make an insane new claim with a new product. Then, they talk about how that product is out and an even newer product is “in.” Then they dispel the new product and go back to the old. The pendulum continues to swing back and forth until both sides are arguing, but the marketing companies don’t care as long as they continue to prosper. One company that is different is True Protein. Not only do they not play the same “marketing game” that so many other companies do, but they also offer top notch supplements (especially whey protein) at astounding prices. In fact, they aren’t a marketing company at all.

Unlike most companies that source all of their protein and other supplements from China, True Protein actually makes all of their own supplements in the United States of America. The best way to get a deal on these amazing products is to use a True Protein Discount code when ordering. These codes can be found all over the web but there are a few sites that specialize in them.
